Our Staff Members

 

The staff at The Crossing - Spokane has spent many years committed to Christian service. Our staff enjoys serving our community, whether in sharing our faith or just lending a helping hand. Here are a few of The Crossing - Spokane's staff members, starting with Jesus Christ:

At The Crossing Jesus Christ is the Senior Pastor

Simply, if the person and ongoing work of Jesus is not exceptionally clear and practically integrated in the church then eventually the church will become very sick. According to 1 Peter 5:4, Jesus is actually called the Chief Shepherd, or senior pastor.

 

A.     Jesus Christ is the apostle who plants a church (Hebrews 3:1)

B.     Jesus is the senior pastor who leads the church (1 Peter 5:4)

C.    Jesus is the head of the church (Colossi ans 1:4; 2:10, 19)

D.    Jesus grows and builds a church (Matthew 16:18)

E.     Jesus shuts a church down for becoming faithless and/or fruitless (Revelation 2:5)

Daryl Floyd  (Teaching Pastor)

In June 2006, Daryl earned his Master of Divinity in Missions - Pastor Track from the Billy Graham School of Evangelism and Church Growth at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Daryl and Dinah were married in January 1990 and have two children; Mary Kathryn and Andrew James.

James Whiteley  (Associate Pastor)

James has a Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary's Vancouver, Washington extension center. He is also an Air National Guard Chaplain assigned to Fairchild Air Force Base in the Spokane area. James and Shelley have four children; Jacob, Jolene, James, and Joshua.
