The Crossing began as an idea in the mind of our founding pastor Daryl Floyd while he was attending The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in the Spring of 2003. Daryl and his wife Dinah were praying about what the Lord would have them do in the area of church planting upon graduation in June 2006. They began a process of prayer, seeking out wise council, and researching different church planting structures. Through this process and a few visits to prospective areas, the Floyd's felt the Lord's call to plant a Cell/Celebration church in Spokane, Washington. Upon graduation from seminary, they moved to Spokane in August of 2006 and began the process of developing a core group of people in the area who shared their vision.

The Crossing now has two LIFE Groups meeting weekly in homes throughout the west plains area of Spokane. We are looking forward to celebrating Easter in 2008 with both LIFE groups and the community.
